Supporting Complex Re-Build Programs

The Task

A private equity backed leisure business had undergone a large period of change and disruption including a rebrand, merger as well as a change of head office location resulting in them losing a number of key financial staff. Consequently, the Group Finance Director had the task of rebuilding the entire finance function. The business however was finding it challenging to attract the calibre of talent needed to operate in a highly acquisitive, PE backed environment and was also finding the recruitment processes were taking too long.

Our Approach & Result

We met with the Group Finance Director to assess the issues and challenges and our conclusion was that their suppliers were relying too heavily on advertising. The result being that they were not opening up their search to relevant candidates that were not active on the market.

We deployed a holistic approach utilizing our resourcing team to directly approach relevant candidates that were not active in the market as well as an advertising campaign across specific job boards.

The search was supplemented with a database search as well as offline sourcing techniques including networking our contacts across the professional services sector.

The campaign delivered the talent required to stabilize the finance team and the resource needed to continue with their acquisition strategy.

Due to this success, we have forged a stronger relationship with the business and have been appointed as their sole supplier.
